Human Rights

BC Human Rights Coalition
Information about human rights, the BC Human Rights Code, and how to file a complaint is available on this site, from the BC Human Rights Tribunal, the Ministry of the Attorney General, and through Government Agent offices across BC.

As of March 31, 2003, formal complaints of discrimination are now filed directly with the BC Human Rights Tribunal. There is also a publicly funded human rights clinic to provide assistance and representation to those who need help with a provincial claim.

A consolidation of BC human rights legislation and regulations.

Canadian Human Rights Act
An index of consolidated statutes and regulations.

Canadian Human Rights Commission (CHRC)
Contains information about the CHRC, alternative dispute resolution, making complaints, and legislation and policies.

Canadian Human Rights Tribunal (CHRT)
Information about the CHRT, the body which hears cases related to discrimination that are referred by the Canadian Human Rights Commission.

International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission
Includes information on human rights abuses in a variety of countries.
